If you are looking for replacement filters for your 5-stage under-sink Puromax reverse osmosis water system, you can use our organic cellulose membrane filter to ensure a 99% reduction rate of bacteria, pesticides, herbicides, and heavy metals from tap water. The RO membrane is the main stage of the system and all of the other filters protect and serve that membrane. If pre-filters are of poor quality, the RO membrane will not give you a 99% reduction rate. The system includes 4 filters and a membrane that needs to be replaced periodically. The different filters represent the different stages that the water goes through while being purified. Generally, pre-filters and post-filters in Puromax water systems can last around 8 to 12 months between changes.
 
Only the original organic RO membranes can last as long as 5 years.
 
Stage 1-
 
A sediment filter is the first filter installed in Puromax reverse osmosis water filter systems. Its main function is to remove large and fine particles from drinking water, such as sand, dirt, silt, and rust particles. Removal of such particles allows for better performance of all the following filters, such as carbon block or GAC filters.
 
The filter has a micron rating of 5 microns and dimensions of (DXI 8.2 X 1/4 - 7/8") x 2.5".
Replace it every year depending on water quality.
The filter is wrapped and sealed and meets NSF Standards and Regulations.
It will fit any residential reverse osmosis unit that features standard 10” filter housing (look for compatible systems list).
 
Stage 2-
 
Original organic activated carbon GAC filters are well-known for their highly efficient reduction of chlorine taste and odor, as well as the taste and odors of many organic chemicals and volatile organic compounds. All GAC filters are made with organic high-quality coconut shell carbon. The filter has a micron rating of 5 Micron and dimensions of (DXI 8.2 X 1/4 - 7/8") x 2.5". Replace it every year depending on water quality. The filter is wrapped and sealed and meets NSF Standards and Regulations. It will fit any residential reverse osmosis unit that features standard 10” filter housing (look for compatible systems list).
 
Stage 3-
 
Organic original Activated Carbon Block Filters are made of fine coconut shell carbon to remove odors and tastes of many organic compounds and chlorine especially. Because these filters are made of a packed carbon (forming a cylinder block), they offer much finer filtration of suspended particles and dirt. The filter has a micron rating of 5 Micron and dimensions of (DXI 8.2 X 1/4 - 7/8") x 2.5". Replace it every year depending on water quality. The filter is wrapped and sealed and meets NSF standards and regulations. It will fit any residential reverse osmosis unit that features standard 10” filter housing (look for compatible systems list).
 
Stage 4-
 
Organic - 50 GPD NSF-certified thin film TFC Membrane is the main component of the Puromax 5 Stage reverse osmosis unit.
Made with 100% Organic fine thin film flat sheet, it has a 99% reduction rate of bacteria, pesticides, herbicides, and heavy metals from tap water.
Only the original organic aquasky rot -4 membrane has a micron rating of a thin film less than 1/10000th of a Micron, which is 620,000 times finer than a human hair, 2,500 times smaller than bacteria, and 20 times smaller than any virus.
 
Product Features include 50 Gallons Per Day (15.8 -19.6 Liters per Hour) Capacity, 99% stabilized salt rejection (minimum rejection 97%), and NSF/ANSI Standard 58 listing.
 
Operating Conditions include performance specifications based on 500 ppm tap water, 50psi (0.35 MPa) applied pressure, 77°F (25°C) feed water temperature, feed water pH 7-8 and 15% recovery. Element permeate flow may vary ± 15%. Being made of high-quality coconut shell carbon, they stabilize the water-tasting qualities and further remove any traces of nasty tastes and odors.
The filter has dimensions of 10.7 " x 2.3" and needs to be replaced every one to two years.
